  • Digital Accessibility Office
    The Digital Accessibility Office helps provide guidance on meeting CMU accessibility standards. They provide practical support, tools, and best practices to make teaching materials and digital resources usable for all learners.
  • CMU Startup Application
    Onboarding application for any faculty that are commercializing their research and would like support through the Swartz Center. Submitting this application unlocks access to startup resources, programs, and guidance from dedicated faculty focused Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and mentors.

  • Deep Tech Venture Ready Program
    A learning-focused experience centered on how deep-tech companies are formed and funded: how investors think about technical risk, what early milestones matter, how teams are built, and what it realistically takes to move from research to market.

  • Innovation Commercialization Fellows Program
    Has the goal of accelerating the process of commercializing university research. It aims to foster entrepreneurship among graduate students and postdoctoral fellows — the research personnel who work directly with faculty investigators to conduct scientific experiments, solve problems and innovate. The program provides each Fellow with $50K in tuition, stipend or salary and benefit support with a $50K required match from another source.

  • NSF I-Corps Hub Program
    CMU is a partner in the Mid-Atlantic I-Corps Hub. The goal of the I-Corps Hubs program is to create and sustain an ecosystem in the United States by establishing tools and training activities, funding research, and sharing effective innovation practices across the country. The program supports the commercialization of deep technologies with a university connection, which grow from discoveries in fundamental science and engineering. Eligible teams that complete the I-Corps regional program have an opportunity to apply for the I-Corps Teams program for a $50K grant to continue their customer discovery activities.

  • StartUP PGH / CMU Startup Week
    A multi day celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation, and frontier tech. Over two dozen events organized by 16 Pittsburgh organizations from September 14 - 18, 2026.

  • CMU Lab to Market
    An exclusive look at Carnegie Mellon University’s bleeding edge research and promising research-driven startups. This day-long event spotlights breakthrough ventures emerging from CMU labs, including those led by CMU faculty, PhDs and postdocs—advancing the frontier in AI, robotics, cybersecurity, healthcare, and beyond.

  • Swartz Center Weekly Newsletter
    Stay informed on the latest entrepreneurship news, programs and opportunities with the Swartz Center weekly bulletin. This publication is released every Friday at 10:00 a.m.
